So What’s this all About?

The 1000 Mile Bike Ride and ‘Paintathon’ Fundraising event

Gregg and ShaneGregg and Shane will be cycling about 1000 miles from John O’Groats to Folkestone starting on the 8th of September, and Shane will be producing pictures along the way ready to be auctioned off for The Church Street Project at the Welcome Home party at the Quarterhouse in Folkestone, on Saturday September 25th.

Gregg Brown is an Australian who moved to Folkestone in 2003 with his British wife Ruth.  Gregg didn’t expect to still be in Folkestone 7 years later but he fell in love with Folkestone and the people who live here.   Gregg works in IT and has a passion for brewing his own beer.  Gregg wants to give something back to Folkestone before returning to Australia later in the year.

Shane is a trustee of and fundraiser for The Church Street Project which helps children in Shepway through art, creativity and counselling. The charity relies on fundraising to continue its valuable work. Last year it helped 101 children change their lives and manage their problems, demonstrating my core belief that… ART CAN HAVE A POSITIVE AND DIRECT IMPACT ON ITS SURROUNDING COMMUNITY.

Please visit http://www.churchstreetproject.co.uk to see how the charity successfully helps children who would otherwise be neglected.

100% of all money pledged on justgiving goes direct to the charity. Please donate! Many thanks!
