1004 miles. We arrived back into Folkestone about 4 in the afternoon to complete the ride and to our friends and family at the QuarterHouse on Tontine Street. Thank you to everyone who has supported and sponsored us on this incredible journey!

We finally get to Buckingham Palace!

Well, only three days left on the ride. It’s been an amazing experience and we’ve raised over £1,100 so far, so a HUGE thank you to everyone who has kindly donated so far, and to everyone who is going to!

We’re cycling through London tomorrow and will be meeting with our local MP Damian Collins (who has already made a very generous donation) to help raise awareness of the Church Street project so if you see us cycling through London, give us a wave!

Finally, everyone is welcome to the Quarterhouse this Saturday 25th when we cycle back into Folkestone. Come join us from 3.00 pm for a drink and a few nibbles, and also for the Charity Auction of the artwork Shane has produced along the way.

We stopped at Ye Olde Pie Shoppe (Dickinson & Morris) in Melton Mobray, Leicestershire, and the MD Stephen Hallam kindly let me into the baking area to see the handmade and hand ‘raised’ traditional pork pies coming out of the oven. Again, painted with an ink brush and watercolours.

Who ate all the pies?

We cycled through yorkshire yesterday and stopped at The Golden Lion, Ripon and this was my lunch – pure yorkshire: Homemade Giant Yorkshire Pudding, with roast potatoes, sausages, peas, onion gravy, and Black Sheep Bitter.
